Are you currently working in the ministry of communications in the Episcopal Church?

You are not alone. Join us to gain access to your most valuable resource: your peers.

If you are engaged in a ministry of communications with a full-communion partner of the Episcopal Church (such as the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America or the Moravian Church), you are also eligible for membership in Episcopal Communicators.

We are a growing network of professionals in the Episcopal Church who share the good news of Christ as we write and edit, design, take photos, produce video, use social media, design websites and tell stories of faith in our communities.

As a professional, self-supporting association, our goals are to:
  • Strengthen the community
  • Foster the development of communications skills and expertise
  • Serve as an advocate for the ministry of communications
  • Provide a forum for discussion of communication issues
  • Provide mutual support and fellowship

Membership benefits include:

  • Networking and idea-sharing with other Episcopal Communicators across all levels of the church
  • Unlimited access to a members-only online resource library
  • Webinars
  • EC-Talk: member exclusive e-mail listserv
  • EC Talk Live: monthly online meetups for learning and community building
  • Discount registration fee to annual Episcopal Communicators conference
  • Polly Bond award eligibility

Membership transfers:

Memberships in Episcopal Communicators are not transferable. The membership is held by the individual, not by the church, diocese or organization that employs the communicator.

Membership dues:

Memberships renew on the anniversary of the date you joined, rather than on January 1. This rolling renewal schedule allows new members to join at any time of year and maintain a full 12 months of membership benefits.

Membership levels:

Five and Ten Church Diocesan Memberships

Designed for dioceses that want to share the benefits of Episcopal Communicators with multiple parishes. A diocese can enroll five or ten churches—plus the diocesan communicator, who serves as the bundle coordinator—at a discounted rate.

Each participating church receives all Regular Member benefits, including access to resources, professional development, mentoring, and a supportive network of communicators across the church. This approach strengthens diocesan communication efforts, builds collaboration, and helps every parish tell its story with clarity and creativity.

Regular Membership

Open to anyone involved in communications within the Episcopal Church—whether in a parish, diocese, or church-related organization. Regular Members enjoy full access to professional resources, training opportunities, the Polly Bond Awards, and a vibrant network of peers.

This membership is ideal for communicators who want to grow their skills, stay connected, and be part of a community that understands both the art and ministry of storytelling. Regular Members also have voting rights in the organization.

Student Membership

For college, university, or seminary students exploring a call to communications. Student Members receive all the benefits of Regular Membership at a reduced rate—plus opportunities to connect with mentors, gain hands-on experience, and bring fresh ideas into the Episcopal communications community.
