Day 4: Putting It All Together
(Workshop descriptions subject to change)

Level: All Levels

You’ve learned about tools. You’ve explored strategy. Now it’s time to step back and ask: how to put it all together? This final day offers a practical roadmap for holistic communications planning — built around real goals, sustainable workflow, and a renewed sense of purpose.

*All times ET

Session 1 (12:00 - 12:50 p.m.): Know & Set Your Goals — What Are You Really Trying to Do?

Before you choose tools or platforms, you need to know what you’re trying to accomplish. This session helps you clarify the “why” and “what” behind your communications — whether it's deepening connection, inviting newcomers or amplifying justice. We’ll explore how to define clear, measurable goals that guide your decisions and ground your work.

Session 2 (1:00 - 1:50 p.m.): Know Your Audience — Communicating with Empathy and Insight

Effective communication is never one-size-fits-all. This session explores how to identify your audience(s), know where they are, understand their needs and craft messaging that truly connects. Learn how to segment your audience, tailor your tone and build trust across diverse communities both within your church and beyond.

BREAK: 2:00 - 2:30 p.m.

Session 3 (2:30 - 3:20 p.m.): Choose Your Tools — Matching Methods to Mission

Once your goals are clear and your audiences identified, how do you choose the right tools to meet them? This session offers guidance on selecting platforms, workflows and strategies that align with your priorities, skills and resources. We’ll also share tips for avoiding shiny-object burnout and building a toolkit that serves your mission — not the other way around.

Session 4 (3:30-4:20 p.m.): Make Your Plan (and Don’t Forget You)

Good plans are realistic, flexible and life-giving — not exhausting. In this final session, we’ll tie everything together in a framework you can take home. Members of the Episcopal Communicators Board of Directors will share real-life examples of plan components in action. Learn how to map the future, pace your campaigns, and incorporate rhythms of rest and reflection so your communications ministry is both strategic and sustainable.
